GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Weld-On® 4784 is a clear, thin to medium bodied solvent cement. It cures rapidly at room temperature resulting in a very strong but flexible bond. Some parts may be handled within a few minutes of application. Bond strength continues to develop very quickly, reaching a substantial level within hours. Joints have similar physical and chemical properties to acrylic plastic and are water and weather resistant.
SUBSTRATE RECOMMENDATIONS
The flexibility of Weld-On 4784 makes it ideal for bonding flexible vinyl to itself and several other thermoplastics including cellulose acetate butyrate (trim cap), rigid PVC, acrylic and Kydex® as well as porous materials such as fabrics.
BONDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Use when flexibility and weather resistance is preferred to:
- Repair or patch vinyl furniture seats
- Fuse vinyl to thermoplastics
- Bond to cotton and other fabrics
