This product meets requirements of California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1168.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Weld-On® 55 is a clear, two-component reactive polyurethane adhesive that contains no volatile organic compounds (VOC). With a longer working time of 5-6 minutes, it polymerizes at room temperature to form clear, extremely durable bonds within a few hours. Resistance to discoloration by UV light with excellent lap shear and impact strength
SUBSTRATE RECOMMENDATIONS
Effective in bonding a wide variety of thermoplastics to themselves and one another, including: buffed acrylic, cellulose acetate butyrate (trim cap), polycarbonate, PETG, ABS, PVC, polyurethane and foam board.
BONDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Although Weld-On 55 is recommended for a many uses across the sign assembly industry, it is especially suited to:
- Butyrate trim cap and polycarbonate in channel letter applications
- A wide variety of ABS to PETG bonding in plastic fabrication
