NUMBER OF COMPONENTS
This product meets requirements of California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1168.
Weld-On® 1829 is a water-resistant modified elastomer with medium body and light tan color. It is highly resistant to water, oil and gasoline making Weld-On 1829 a popular choice in marine applications. A thin film exposed to air will dry in 3 to 7 minutes. Because it cures to a very tough flexible film, this adhesive affords high impact resistance while forming strong joints between rigid materials.
Very versatile! Weld-On 1829 works across a wide variety of plastics and non-plastics to bond to themselves or each other, such as flexible and rigid vinyl (PVC), acrylics, urethane foam, metal, glass, canvas, rubber and other non-plastics.
In addition to marine applications of bonding plasticized vinyl to metal and patching vinyl sheets, it is also used in:.
- Upholstering vinyl seats
- Bonding vinyl to urethane foam, canvas, and other materials
- Attaching plastic letters to many substrates.
- Sporting equipment
- Leather goods
- Shoes, belts and handbags
